Az Útilapu Hálózat szervezésében nemzetközi építőnáborba keresnek önkénteseket Devecserre július 25. és augusztus 7. közötti időszakra. Az önkéntesek a település újjáépítésében vesznek részt, különösen a közparkok megtisztításában.

- reconstruction after the red sludge catastrophe –
A red mud reservoir burst on the 4th of October in Ajka, Hungary, spilling approximately 1 million m² of toxic industrial waste of the Ajkai Timföldgyár alumina plant, flooding 3 villages.

The disaster had ten victims and hundreds of injured people. 250 houses had to be demolished and the natural environment was highly damaged: the fauna of two creeks were desolated and all the soils were polluted in the area.
For the averting of the damages Hungary has already got many help from all over the world, but the reconstruction is still going and will take a long time, investing many-many effort.
We need your help!
The voluntary camp will take place in Devecser including 10 international and 20 Hungarian volunteers, from 25th July to 7th August, 2011.
The aim of the camp is to take part in the reconstruction after the red sludge catastrophe, in cooperation with the City Council and the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service.
The camp will afford to the participants to give indispensable help for the community to stand up and recover after a catastrophe, to feel the real importance of their work.
The volunteers will take part in the reconstruction of the park of the city: planting, recovering the topsoil among the trees, constructing tracks, cleaning the coast of the creek. There is the possibility to work in the new subdivision which is built for the inhabitants who lost their home.
Volunteers will stay in the school of Devecser. There are toilets and next to the building there is a new container functioning as the bathroom. Beds are provided but it is recommended to bring a sleeping bag. The park is next to the accommodation. Food will be provided by the city in a tent next to the school and the volunteers also can take part in cooking.
